A while ago, I ordered some items from the Candy Violet site. On 12th August I was told that my order had been shipped, and that I was to contact them if I had any problems.
I had asked for U.S.P.S. Priority Mail International (I live in the UK), so when my parcel hadn't arrived five days later (the usual maximum wait time I have with US-UK shipping), I decided to be on the safe side and contact Candy Violet to ask for the shipping receipt/reference number (assuming they still had it, of course) so that I could check where my parcel was. My order contains items for my friend's birthday on the 19th, so I was quite anxious.
I sent them an e-mail politely asking for this number/reciept/what-have-you, explaining the circumstances and apologising if it seemed that I was being impatient. However, I sent that message on the 17th, and so far there has been no reply.
I don't believe that it's malicious, so I'm wondering whether anyone else has had this problem getting through to CV? And does anyone know whether this amount of waiting (8 days now) for a US-UK package by U.S.P.S. Priority Mail International is usual? Since my friend's birthday was yesterday, I'm even more anxious to receive that package!

Got back from Japan two days ago, and still reasonably jetlagged. Please don't mind me lack of communication since returning - I'll get back in track soon, I promise. Aaaand, sorry for boarding the fail boat with comment replies.
Oh god, college starts in two weeks. I'm going to either shit bricks or die. DX

I was walking home from meeting Dave and Rowan for lunch and saw on a local music newspaper that Faker are going to be in Tassie for a performance on the 13th of September. I'm really excited because they're one of Rowan's favourite bands and we missed seeing his other favourite band Crazy P years ago because we were both starving Uni students. Also while walking home I called in at the City Supermarket to grab some milk and get some more green tea and mint but they didn't have any! Our local grocer doesn't have any either which sucks because I have one green tea and mint tea bag left. I'm going to have to somehow find a way to drag it out until I can get to the Woolworths in our area. ;w;
I was re-reading the small amount of info about the Baby lucky packs on their website and I looked at this part underneath the English part:
'今回は海外のお客様限定となります。ご了承下さい。' (I was dumb and didn't read in it the English part.)
It seems that they're only offering lucky packs to their International customers. They must be getting heaps of business from overseas to be able to do this, but seeing the buzz on ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) egl about it tells me that they're totally going to sell out really quickly any way. I'm so excited, I just wish they'd give us more info already - last year they had awesome teaser photos too. |

When evening drugs time came around, I was busy, so I deferred it 15 minutes,
15 minutes later i deferred it another 15 minutes — and the evening walk 15 minutes.

Got both in, but now it’s midnight and I’ve done nearly nothing else. *sigh* And definitely will not make it to bed at a reasonably sane time; now looking at either a short nap or punting and staying up all night... or, more likely, I won’t succeed at either and will wake up at noon again. :(
And then another KDC/dbserver crashed (one crashed yesterday and I had to do an emergency restore tonight because nobody followed the directions in the wiki; that's why the drugs and walk got delayed), and I had to recover it, redo the restore &mfsdh; and while I was at it, reboot the third KDC/dbserver since it seemed likely it was going to go next. Only, the third one isn't on the conserver so I had to reboot it blindly and hope it'd come back (thankfully, it did). The Facilities list has been notified of (a) my displeasure and (b) the likelihood I will again not wake up soon enough to go to campus. Feh. |

How many lolitas have tight curls patterns? How would you style it to make it work?
My hair is very very curly (4A), and I don't really have the extra money to spend on a wig. In the mornings, I usually put some product in my hair, and I'm out the door. I don't have a recent photo but I have a picture of what it kind of looks like. |

I decided to do something with it. I'm not sure if this really qualifies as lolita - it just doesn't seem fussy enough to me - but I had my mom hanging over my shoulder who doesn't really get lolita fashion constantly yelling at me to "EDIT! EDIT! QUIT TRYING TO PUT FRILLS ON IT!"
Originally I was going for a dress, but after one too many screw-ups I decided to go with a jumper instead, with a blouse underneath. The jumper took me three days, the hat took me a couple hours and the blouse took me about three-four days. I was looking for some stockings to wear but I can't find where I put all of mine. D:
I had my mom do a little mini-photoshoot. Half of the pictures didn't come out because she was saying something that made me crack up laughing.
