Post halloween thoughts.
While I was returning from home last night on the short drive home from the ferry docks . I have noticed there were at least two confirmed cosplay lolita out trick or treating. Given that it was only a short 10 mins drive, the ratio was quite high. I am quite convinced that peak of lolita awareness is probably approaching. Not quite there yet, but approaching. However, in other thoughts, I am not too sure if I am happy or sad about what I saw. The costumes were of course halloween costume quality, and the poor girls probably didn't know better. So Im quite split. it is nice that it is contrary to some, it is picking up. On the other hand, there are the the mislead....

Yeah I know what you mean. Jenny and I freaked out when we got the mail a few weeks back with an ad for halloween costumes. Lo and behold they now have 'Harajuku Girl' as a prepackaged halloween costume. Its rather disgusting really, especially for those of us that live this way. Then we searched other halloween costume sights and found a mass of horror like these: 1, 2

Hey Lynda, this is off topic but I'm going to be in SF Sunday through the 8th. I'm sure you are busy with PMX things, but if you have some free time and want to hang out send me an e-mail at zombie_milkshake@yahoo.com. : )

Interesting...around here nothing. But I guess as long as they see it only as costumes and on a day like Halloween how are others really going to see it? As a costume. Now...if they decide to wear it to certain occassions during other events...that's misleading...

But on another note it IS interesting how "wide spread" it's getting. Drat it all! I never did write you an email XD I'll wait for post PMX...

Such is the dilemma when anything goes closer to the mainstream. Every community is faced with it. Man, I'm still a little wibbly about the anime/manga boom. And all the poor goths...

On a completely different note, I saw someone's pics of the PMX AP event on egl :3 ~I see London, I see France, I see LYNDA LYNDA LYNDA :D ♥ eehee!
